September Morn

It was an early September morning and the rains we pouring heavily, as expected during this season. Me and my wife are on our way to the office when we noticed that flood waters are starting to build up. That was when we decided to turn back and head home. However, traffic stood at a stand still due to waist deep flood waters.

With less than a kilometer from home, I tried to pass through another route where I know flood waters are not that deep but it was too late, we had no choice but to let the flood waters pass. We found a place to park our car and waited. That wait lasted more than twenty four hours, because the rains just wont stop, and we had to spend the night inside our car.  Some might think that this was such a terrible ordeal, but for us, it was such a great blessing!!

God truly knows what we need, when we need it.

He knew that we would need shelter that day, so He allowed us to bring our car that day. He also knew that we had to be safe, so He guided us to this elevated parking area so that flood waters wont reach us; flood waters reached chest deep right in front of the elevated parking. He knew that we would need nourishment to last the day, so He allowed the supermarket, where we parked, to open, even with flood waters ranging, for us to get our supplies. He knew that we would need company through the night, that is why He made sure that we were together that day; it was always more convenient for my wife to take the shuttle to work, but due to the weather, I decided, or God permitted, to bring her to the office that day. God even made sure that our kids were safe by having their classes suspended.

Almost everything that could have gone wrong for us that day went wrong, but we still ended up being blessed!
