No Happy Endings

I love weddings! There is something about two people, committed to be together for the rest of their lives, that fascinates me. Imagine out of the millions of people living in this planet, you find each other and fall in love. Is it fate or just circumstance? I don't believe in either of them. I believe everything happens for a reason. There is a bigger plan.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope.
It is part of God's plan that we, as a couple, find, love and live with each other. We are here to complement and support each other as we live out God's plan for us.

In Luke 10, Jesus sends seventy two disciples in pairs to cure the sick and spread the good news. In our married life, God has already picked out our partner, our companion, as He sends us "like sheep upon wolves" to evangelize others and each other.

But this is not an easy task. As each day passes, we start to learn more about our spouse. One by one, our blemishes will start to come out and we will start to doubt if we married the right spouse. Of course we married the right spouse! We just have to learn to take in the good with the bad. In this case, it is comforting to know that the good always out numbers the bad. No matter what happens, our spouse will always be the best spouse for us.
There is no such thing as a perfect spouse. What we can do is, to love our imperfect spouse perfectly. Remember that true love does not have a happy ending. It simply does not end
