Role Play

There is no "I" in team.

There are things in our lives that is simply hard to accept. Oftentimes, we ask why do we have to do this? Isn't there anybody else who could do this? Why can't I be the leader since I am more qualified? We question the roles we play in life, and wish that we had others' roles instead. But that is just how it is, they are roles. We can't all be kings, else, who would be there to serve us? We can't all be leaders, else, who would we lead? We can't all be followers, else, who would lead us?

John the baptist knew his role and he played it well. He knew that he was sent to prepare the way for our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. He was not the star of the show, but he accepted the role to introduce to us Jesus, who will baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Each one of us has a role to play in our lives. Sometimes it is hard to accept that role, but we have to play it out because we know that God has a plan for us. If we all play our own role, in the end, everybody will come out as winners. That is just how it is in God's team.

Are you ready to play?
