Passion Statement

Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us Christians a mission.

Matthew 28:18-20 - Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."

As Christians, we were commissioned by Christ to spread the good news to all nations. This is a very tall order for us especially now that the harvest are many, and the harvesters are few. The fact that we are being sent like lambs among wolves is not encouraging either. But as my wife and I developed a deeper relationship with the Lord, we realized that this is not as hard as we thought it would be. All we have to do is say yes to His call, and God will do the rest.

This is our new passion, the Passion for the Mission.

Early this year, a brother asked us if we would want to go to Cambodia to conduct a Marriage Enrichment Retreat, as there was an ongoing seat sale in Asia. Without even blinking, we said yes. Our trip was scheduled some months later so we still had time to raise the funds to support our trip. That was when reality sank in, we already have our tickets, but we still don't have our passports.

In my line of work, I am required to have a passport in case our client would request that we work on-shore but, due to my inability to wait in line, I never did apply for one. This time however, God said "it is time", so I did. A few months later, we were on a plane to Cambodia via Vietnam.

Our stay in the said countries could not have been more enjoyable! God prepared everything for us, the food, accommodations, food, transportation, food.... and did I mention the food? The retreat went well, we met new brothers and sisters, and had a day to tour the city. We learned a lot during our trip, but the most important lesson of all, is just to let go and let God. He has a plan for each and everyone of us, all we have to do is to follow Him. As i have said earlier, Just say yes, and God will do the rest.
