Subic Music Ministry Workshop 2012

We woke up early on a Saturday to get ready to go to Subic, which is about 2 to 3 hours from Manila, to hold a Music Ministry Workshop. We packed our things, said an early morning prayer and were off.

After stopping over for a short breakfast, we finally arrived Subic at around 8am. The trip was pretty much uneventful until we took the last turn near the venue when we saw this huge carrier docked at the port. We were all in awe, since we thought that we would only see these things in the movies. =)

When we arrived at the venue, we were greeted warmly by their service team. We all settled in and the workshop started at about 9am. I was not up until about 11am, so I just sat and prepared for my talk. Midway through the 1st talk, however, we learned the true meaning of "workshop"; while the husbands "work", the wives "shop". As it turned out, one of the shops there was having their anniversary sale. And like fish in the ocean, they took the bait (ha ha ha).

Anyway, we finished up the workshop at about 5pm. The workshop turned out to be a positive experience for both the participants and us, the facilitators. We all learned from each other and, through the day, gained new friends. Now that's a win win situation.

We decided to grab some dinner, discuss the days events and how to improve them, before we head home. It was during our dinner that we realized that this same group, which formed EA Joggers, is now responsible for the birth of MFG.
