Fair Trade

The new Iphone is comming out, and the new Ipad will be available by the end of the year or early next! Time to save up for these new gadgets; skip some snacks, stay at home over the weekends and work overtime. These are just a few things we do to get what we want. Sometimes, we even sacrifice some of our possessions just to come up with enough funds we need.

We spend so much for comforts in life, to be "IN", to be up to date with the latest gadgets and to be the talk of the town. But when you stop and think about it, ask yourself, how much have we given or sacrificed for people in need? When was the last time you gave alms to the poor? Where were you when your friend needed you most?When was the last time you talked to your children or your siblings? When was the last time you hugged your spouse and told them you love them?

These may seem little things, but they mean a lot to those who receive them. These little things, insignificant as they seem, help us save some more treasures in heaven.

Matthew 25:40 - And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Then we come to the ultimate question; "are you ready to give your life for a friend?" . That is the greatest love we can show. Jesus Christ gave His life for us, to save us from our sins and for us to gain eternal life. That was the price He paid for our ticket to heaven.

Matthew 13:44 - The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field
