I remember hearing someone saying "Remember the golden rule. He who has the gold, makes the rules". This used go make me laugh as it veers away from the old "do unto others..." thing. However, if you really look closer, you would realize that this saying is already close to reality. As the saying goes, "money makes the world go around", money does seem to dictate the way we live today. We can't even go from point A to point B without spending some money.
Things used to be much simple when people still have those things called a conscience. Back then, we used to help people because we want to and not because of what we can get in return. It was a time when friendships and relationships used to weigh more than our pockets. This is the future I am hoping for.
I haven't lost all hope though. There are still enough decent people in the world who lives and follows the TRUE golden rule which is not "do unto others...". There is only one rule which could make things right for all of us, and that is to "Love one another". Jesus gave us the greatest commandments; Love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and Love your neighbor as yourself. We could summarize this into one word, LOVE. All we have to do is love and everything good will follow. All we need is love. Since God is love, it follows that all we need in our lives is God.
It's a good thing I have a disabled mind! The heart functions best without being dictated by the mind.
OK na sana e, serious na. Except for the last sentence, I'm LOL! Muntik na akong mahulog sa upuan ko haha
