Strong @ 17 (day 2)

We woke up the next day and had an early breakfast. I was feeling a little ill and my head was aching, but we wish to explore Kalibo before going to Boracay in the afternoon. So off we go! Our first stop is the Kalibo Cathedral . Located in front of Pastrana park. This cathedral houses the shrine of the Sto. Nino where, we experienced a small miracle. As we were praying, I noticed a prayer for healing posted on the wall. I started to recite it, since I was not feeling well at the moment. Before even finishing my prayer, my headache was gone and I feel lighter than ever! This really is a sign of good things to come. Visiting the cathedral turned out to be a good decision for us since there are a lot to see in its vicinity. Your head is heavy, your eyes are sore, your back aches from eight hours of balancing your accounts. Just when you thought you are through, you find that your account is short by 0.01. Your world seems to crumble around you while you become frustrated because after a whole days work, you have to go over them again! It is the same as our balance sheet called life. We are all give 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, yet we feel that it is still not enough for us to finish all of our work. Just imagine spending at least 9 hours a day at work, 1 hour to prepare to go to work, 3 hours of travel time,1 hour for dinner, 1 hour to oversee your business, 3 hours of prayer meeting, 2 hours with your kids and 1 hour to rest and prepare for bed. Its only a Monday and all I have left is 3 hours of sleep then I have to wake up and do it all again! (I'll sleep when I'm dead) Our weekend schedule is pretty much the same as we have to do a lot of errands to catch up with what we've missed duri

Failure IS An Option

Failure is one of man's greatest fears. Our goal is to always succeed in everything we do. To bask in our greatness. To strive for perfection in all of our endeavors! That is until we wake up and find that the world is not a perfect place; we fail! No matter how hard we try, success is hard to come by. We try, we fail. We try, we fail. It's a vicious cycle which usually ends with us giving up. But true failure only comes when we stop trying. Sometimes, these failures are sent our way for us to learn something. It's just a matter of perspective. Thomas Edison failed a thousand times before inventing the light bulb. But for him, those were not failures. Instead, he saw them as a thousand ways for not creating a light bulb. Can you imagine how our lives would be if Edison gave up on his 999th try? The world does not end when we fail.
